Zero tolerance — instant ban + reporting to authorities
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, child-sexualised AI content — reported to NCMEC, IWF, SAPS FCS and equivalents.
- Terrorism, violent extremism, mass-shooter glorification — reported under EU TERREG, UK OSA, AU AVM Act.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery / deepfake sexual content — supported by StopNCII.org and Take It Down hash networks.
- Human trafficking, sextortion, doxxing of minors.
- Coordinated incitement to imminent violence.
Not allowed
- Hate speech targeting protected characteristics (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, caste, national origin).
- Harassment, threats, stalking, doxxing.
- Graphic violence, gore, animal cruelty (educational/news context allowed with warnings).
- Sexually explicit content, nudity in livestream, sexual solicitation, escort services.
- Promotion of self-harm, suicide methods, eating disorders, dangerous diet/fast challenges.
- Sale or facilitation of regulated goods: drugs, firearms/ammo, endangered wildlife, counterfeit goods, prescription medication.
- Misinformation that risks election integrity, public health (vaccine, pandemic), or imminent safety.
- Spam, scams, phishing, pyramid/MLM recruitment, fake engagement, AI-generated impersonation.
- Impersonation of other people or brands without clear disclosure (parody must be obvious).
- Copyright or trademark infringement (see IP & Notice Policy).
- Unlabelled paid endorsements / ads — disclose with #ad or #sponsored (FTC, ASA, CMA, ARPP).
- Gambling, lotteries, sports betting promotion to under-18s; in regulated markets only with licence.
Livestream rules
No nudity, weapons handling, dangerous driving, drug use, or unsupervised minors on camera. Hosts must obtain consent from identifiable third parties. Hosts are responsible for invited guests' conduct.
AI & synthetic media
Synthetic or significantly edited media depicting real people, events, or speech must be clearly labelled (EU AI Act Art. 50). Sexualised deepfakes of any real person are banned.
Reporting (DSA Article 16)
Use ••• → Report on any video, profile, comment or DM. Reports may be submitted by anyone; EU users may file a substantiated illegal-content notice to dsa@thumber.app. We acknowledge promptly and act within 24h (manifestly illegal) to 5 business days.
Enforcement & statement of reasons
Strikes: 1st = warning, 2nd = 7-day suspension, 3rd = permanent ban. Severe violations skip the ladder. Where we restrict content or accounts we provide a statement of reasons (DSA Art. 17). Appeals: appeals@thumber.app · out-of-court dispute settlement under DSA Art. 21.
